Defenseman Tyson Barrie earned his first career point, assisting on Hejduk's goal.
Newcomer Aaron Palushaj opened the scoring 2:38 into the first, getting the puck past Minnesota goalie Niklas Backstrom.
The Wild evened score six minutes later when Zach Parise skated around the net, scoring a wrap-around goal on Jean-Sebastien Giguere
After Minnesota scored twice to make it 3-2, Matt Duchene tied the game with bank shot off Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon.
Hejduk and Duchene scored in the shootout while Giguere turned away both Minnesota shooters.
