CALGARY – It took until the last game of the road trip, but Colorado finally was able to put a 'W' in the win column. And, the Avalanche (3-4-0) found their goal scoring touch in the process.
Three different players scored two goals in a 6-3 victory over Northwest Division rival, Calgary.
John Mitchell, P-A Parenteau and Paul Stastny each scored twice for Colorado. Matt Duchene and Jamie McGinn added two assists.
The Avalanche were outshot 28-22. Jean-Sebastien Giguere earned his first win of the season in his first start.
As for the Flames, Jiri Hudler scored two goals and one assist in the loss. Matt Stajan assisted on both Hudler goals.
Next up for Colorado is a home game with Edmonton Saturday afternoon.
