With no end of the lockout in site, Avalanche center Ryan O'Reilly will be playing alongside Evgeni Malkin for Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the KHL.
The Varna, Ontario native has signed to play for Magnitogorsk through the 2013-14 season. The Steelers will honor any contract O'Reilly receives from Colorado. Other current NHLers on the roster are Nikolai Kulemin of Toronto and Sergei Gonchar of Ottawa. Also on the team in Ryan's brother, Cal O'Reilly. The brothers will have to wait to play together until Cal returns from injury.
The first game Ryan can play in is Wednesday against Atlant Moscow Oblast.
