The two week break did not bother Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov and his Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. He stopped all 32 shots in a 4-0 shutout victory over HC Slovan Bratislava at the Arena 2000.
The shutout, his second on the season, pushed his save percentage to the top of the KHL at .946. The win keeps the lead in the Tarasov divison over CSKA at four points.
Forward Maxim Trunyov opened the scoring at 6:16 of the first period. Alexei Kalyuzhny, Artyom Anisimov and Roman Lyuduchin added goals for Lokomotiv.
Yaroslavl's next game is Friday when HC Lev Poprad comes calling.
